Starter credits are a one-time grant to eligible accounts and expire 24 hours after signup. Exports from a free account carry a visible AI-generated label; paid plans remove it.

Common questions about the AI video editor
Can I upload my own video files to edit?
Yes. The editor accepts MP4, WebM and MOV video up to 500 MB per file, and MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC audio up to 100 MB. Uploaded files sit on the timeline next to anything you generate and are cut exactly the same way.
Is the AI video editor free?
Editing is free: uploading, cutting, captioning and previewing cost nothing. A finished export is rendered on our servers and priced from 20 credits. What does the AI actually do in the editor?
Three things, each on the timeline: generate a new clip from a text description into a gap, extend a clip that ends too early, and create an image or a complete song with vocals for the project. It also transcribes your audio into captions. It does not edit for you automatically; you stay in control of every cut.
What export formats and sizes are supported?
H.264 MP4 in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 4:5, at 1080p or 4K (3840x2160 for landscape). Pick the shape when you create the project and the export matches it.
Can it add captions automatically?
Yes. The editor transcribes the audio on your timeline into a caption lane, styled with a preset you choose. You can edit any word before exporting, and the captions are burned into the final file.
Is there a watermark?
Exports from a free account carry a small visible AI-generated PrismPoster label, which any paid plan removes. Every export, on every plan, keeps machine-readable AI-provenance metadata and a C2PA signature so platforms can identify AI-assisted content.
Is my footage used to train AI models?
No. PrismPoster does not use your uploads, prompts or exports to train or improve any model, and there is no setting that enables it. The AI providers we use are bound by their terms not to train on customer content either. The full commitment is in our Data Processing Agreement.
