EU AI Act transparency

Last updated: October 11, 2026

PrismPoster is an artificial-intelligence platform. Everything you create here is generated or edited by AI, and you should treat it as synthetic. This notice explains how we approach Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the EU AI Act), what we mark and label, and what stays your responsibility when you publish. It supplements our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and is provided for information. It is not legal advice.

1. Our role and yours

For the purposes of the EU AI Act, PrismLabs OÜ is the provider of the AI system you use on prismposter.com. PrismPoster does not publish, post or schedule anything for you: you download the finished file and decide where and whether to share it. When you publish or distribute an output outside PrismPoster, you are the deployer of that content, with disclosure duties of your own that we cannot discharge for you.

2. Telling you that you are using AI (Article 50(1))

PrismPoster is built and marketed as an AI platform. By creating an account you acknowledge that every studio, assistant and tool on it uses AI systems.

3. What we mark on every output (Article 50(2))

Providers must ensure that synthetic output can be identified as artificially generated. We do this on every account, free or paid, and for every output, with no setting or purchase that turns it off:

  • Embedded provenance metadata written into the file: IPTC, XMP and EXIF for images, container metadata for MP4 video, ID3 for audio. It records that the content was made with AI.
  • C2PA Content Credentials, a signed provenance record, added on a best-effort basis on every account wherever our signing service is available. Not every file carries one.

No marking technique is perfect. Other apps and platforms can strip metadata when a file is edited, converted, screenshotted or uploaded, so a missing mark never proves that content is human-made, and our marks do not replace your own disclosure.

4. The visible label depends on your plan

  • Free accounts: every image and video carries a small visible label reading “AI-generated with PrismPoster” (“AI-enhanced with PrismPoster” for an AI edit of an existing image), whichever model or provider produced it. Audio carries no visible label.
  • Paid accounts (any account that has bought credits): PrismPoster adds no visible AI label, badge or watermark to any content, including work made with a real person’s likeness. The embedded provenance in section 3 still applies.
  • Content made while an account was free can keep the label it was made with.

We do not add a visible label to paid content because PrismPoster is an AI platform, not a social network or publisher: content created here is AI-generated by nature, and the visible disclosure the EU AI Act requires for deep fakes falls on whoever publishes the content to an audience. You agree not to deliberately remove, alter or obscure any marking we do apply.

5. Your responsibility when you publish (Article 50(4))

If you use PrismPoster to create or alter an image, video or audio that resembles a real person, place, object or event and could falsely appear authentic (a “deep fake”), you must disclose clearly and no later than first exposure that it was artificially generated or manipulated whenever you publish or otherwise make it available. Limited exceptions exist, for example for evidently artistic, creative or satirical work, where a lighter form of disclosure may be enough. Whether an exception applies to your content is your determination.

You are solely responsible for:

  • adding a clear disclosure when you share AI-generated or AI-edited content outside PrismPoster, whether or not our metadata is still in the file and whether or not the file carries a visible label;
  • using the AI-content labels and settings that the platform you publish on requires;
  • obtaining the consent and rights needed for any real person, voice, brand or work that appears in what you create or publish;
  • complying with advertising, consumer-protection, election, and platform rules that apply where and how you publish.

6. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, PrismPoster is not responsible for content you publish without a required disclosure, or for any claim, fine or loss that results from it. We do not warrant that our markings satisfy a disclosure duty that binds you. If you use the Service for business purposes, the indemnity in section 6 of the Terms of Service applies to third-party and regulatory claims arising from content you publish. Nothing here limits any right you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of your country of residence.

7. Real people and prohibited uses

Before a render that uses pictures of real people, you confirm that you hold the rights and the permission of everyone shown; we record that confirmation. Pictures of children and of public figures are refused. The absence of a visible label does not make any use allowed: manipulation or deception, unlawful impersonation, non-consensual intimate imagery and the other uses in our Acceptable Use Policy are prohibited on every plan, and we may suspend accounts and remove content that breaches them.

8. Updates and contact

Guidance on the EU AI Act, including the European Commission’s work on transparency of AI-generated content, is still developing, and we may update this notice as requirements or our technical measures change. Questions: support@prismposter.com.
