Refund Policy
Last updated: August 11, 2026
Within 14 days of purchase you can request a refund: unused credits are refunded in full to your original payment method, and a subscription is refunded for the unused remainder of the period. Only the part you have actually used is deducted — never the unused balance.
1. The 14-day window
You have 14 days from the day of a purchase to ask for it back, without giving a reason. For consumers in the EU/EEA this is the statutory right of withdrawal: it cannot be shortened, and any term that conflicts with it does not apply to you. We apply the same 14-day treatment to every customer, whether or not the statutory right covers them.
2. Credit packs
Unused credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase, in cash to your original payment method. If you have used some credits, the still-unused balance is refunded; credits already spent on a generation are not.
Spending one credit never forfeits the rest of the pack. Credits are a means of payment, so an unspent balance comes back as money — not as re-added credits. Only the credits you actually spent on a generation are excluded, and only where you asked at checkout for your credits to be usable immediately and acknowledged that effect.
3. Subscriptions
Within the window you are refunded the unused remainder of the current period. The part you have already used — elapsed time and credits already spent — is kept, again only where you gave that acknowledgment at checkout. Without it, an in-window withdrawal is refunded in full.
Cancelling and refunding are separate actions. Cancel any time under Settings → Plan & Billing to stop future charges; that on its own does not return money for the current period. Outside the 14-day window we do not refund partial billing periods.
4. What is not refundable
- Credits you have already spent on a generation, where you gave the immediate-access acknowledgment at checkout.
- Promotional, referral, and bonus credits. These are granted free of charge, have no cash value, and may be revoked in cases of abuse.
- Purchases outside the 14-day window, which fall under the cancellation terms instead.
A failed generation is a separate matter from a refund of a purchase: credits for a generation that fails on our side are normally returned to your balance without you asking. If a failure ever leaves your balance short, write to us and we will put the credits back.
5. How to request a refund
The fastest route is self-serve: the refunds help article shows exactly what you can be refunded right now and processes it immediately. You can also withdraw by any clear statement to support@prismposter.com — no particular form or wording is required, and sending it before the 14-day window closes is enough to be in time.
6. How the money comes back
Refunds are paid in real money, through Stripe, to the payment method you originally used — we never substitute credits. We reimburse without undue delay and in any case within 14days of being told you are withdrawing; how quickly it then appears on your statement is up to your bank or card issuer. The refund shows in your billing history under Settings → Plan & Billing, and Stripe issues a receipt to your payment method as your durable record.
7. Relationship to the Terms
This page states our refund practice in plain language. The binding text is Section 3.3 of the Terms of Service; where the two differ, the Terms govern. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
