How to remake a viral video with AI (without stealing anyone's face)

A trend video is two things at once: a set of moves that everyone wants to try, and a particular person, voice and song that belong to someone else. Remaking a viral video with AI works when you keep the first and leave the second behind. This guide shows how to turn a short trend clip into a new video with you, or a character you describe, performing the same moves, and why the result is yours to post.

How do you remake a viral video with AI?

Read the motion out of the clip, then ask an AI engine to perform that motion with a performer of your choice. The clip is a reference for movement only. In PrismPoster's Video Studio that is the Remake flow on the viral video remake page: drop in a clip of 3 to 30 seconds, choose who performs it, review the motion, and render a draft before you pay for the finish.

The order matters. A tool that pastes your face onto the original footage keeps the other person's body, voice and song. A tool that reads the movement and rebuilds it around your performer keeps only what you came for.

What do you need before you start?

Three things, all on your side:

  • A short clip you have the right to use. 3 to 30 seconds is the range Remake accepts; trim a longer clip to the move you want.
  • A performer. A photo of yourself or your verified likeness is the quickest path, and a photo works after you confirm it is you. A Character Studio character or a described character needs no photo of you at all. Our guide to AI likeness consent explains why the confirmation exists.
  • A rough idea of the scene. Remake writes a scene to fit the moves, and you can edit it in one text box. If you want to steer it further, AI video prompts covers what a good scene description contains.

What happens to the original person, voice and song?

The engine never receives them. Remake reduces the clip to a silent, face-free motion sheet: the pose and movement over time, with no face, no voice and no music. Only that sheet reaches the AI engine. The video you get back contains your performer, a scene that was written for the moves, and sound you choose. A clip you upload can keep its own sound in your export, but only if you confirm you have the right to use it.

That is different from a face swap, which keeps the original footage and replaces one face. Our comparison table on the tool page sets the approaches side by side, and why AI video tools refuse real faces explains how this design avoids the refusals people hit elsewhere.

Why draft first and finish second?

A draft renders at lower quality and a lower price, so you can check that the moves landed before paying for the finished video. If the draft is close, finish it at the higher resolution. If it is not, adjust the scene or choose a different clip and try again at draft price. Your clip is deleted six hours after you upload it, so finish within that time. The price shows before every render, so nothing is a surprise.

What gets declined?

Before any credits are spent, Remake declines children in the clip or photo, public figures and politically exposed people, and adult content. You confirm that you have the right to use your clip, because that cannot be checked for you. Each decline names the reason and the change that fixes it, and nothing is charged when it happens. See viral video formats you can remake for the kinds of clips that go through cleanly.

Can you post the result?

Yes, wherever you like, and you do it yourself: PrismPoster makes the video and does not publish it for you. Every file carries machine-readable AI provenance, and clips from a free account also show a small AI-generated label. If you add music of your own, make sure you hold the licence for it; the guide to adding music to a video covers mixing it under the clip.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I remake a viral video for free?

In many countries a new account gets free starter credits with no card, which pays for a short draft. Elsewhere a small credit pack is the way in. The viral video remake page states the current numbers.

Will the remake look exactly like the original?

No, and it should not. The moves carry over; the performer, the scene and the sound are yours. A close match to the motion with a different performer is the goal.

Do I need to be in the video?

No. You can describe a character instead, and the AI character generator helps you design one that stays consistent across clips.

Why not just use a face-swap app?

A face swap keeps the other person's footage and usually their sound, and rarely asks for their consent. Remake keeps only the movement.
