Why does PrismPoster label AI-generated content?
Every file you export from PrismPoster carries a visible "AI-generated with PrismPoster" label plus a machine-readable provenance mark embedded in the file. This applies to every export and every plan, including Free. The label exists for transparency: it tells your audience that the work was made with an AI tool, and it keeps your content aligned with disclosure rules like the EU AI Act. You can't switch it off, and there's no upgrade that removes it. It's a fixed part of how PrismPoster delivers finished work.
What does the label say and where does it appear?
Exports show one of two visible labels. Fully generated work reads "AI-generated with PrismPoster." Work that you edited with Magic Edit reads "AI-enhanced." The visible label appears on the exported image, video, or audio file you download from the previews and exports step. Alongside it, an always-on machine-readable mark is written into the file's metadata. See generated vs enhanced for the difference between the two labels.
Why is labelling mandatory on every plan?
Transparency only works if it's consistent. If labelling were a paid feature, some AI content would carry disclosure and some wouldn't, which defeats the purpose. So the visible label and the embedded provenance metadata are mandatory on Free, Creator, Pro, and Apex. Plan tier changes what you can generate and how fast, not whether your output is labelled.
How does this connect to the EU AI Act?
PrismLabs OÜ is an Estonian company, and PrismPoster is built to align with the EU AI Act's transparency duties for AI-generated content. The visible label maps to the Act's deepfake and transparency disclosure requirement; the embedded machine mark maps to the requirement for a machine-readable signal. For the full mapping, see EU AI Act Article 50. This is metadata-based provenance and a visible label, not a cryptographic Content Credentials signature.
Does the label change how my content looks or works?
The visible label is part of the rendered export, and the machine mark lives in the file's metadata rather than the visible frame. Your exports are still standard server-rendered landscape 16:9 or portrait 9:16 files that you can post wherever you like. PrismPoster does not post for you; you export and ship manually. The label travels with the file so the disclosure stays attached wherever the file goes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I remove the AI label from my exports?
No. The visible label and the embedded provenance metadata are mandatory on every export and every plan, including Free. There is no setting or upgrade that turns them off.
Does paying for a higher plan remove the label?
No. Plan tier affects what you can generate, generation speed, history length, and storage, not labelling. The label is identical across Free, Creator, Pro, and Apex.
What's the difference between "AI-generated" and "AI-enhanced"?
"AI-generated with PrismPoster" marks fully generated work. "AI-enhanced" marks work you edited with Magic Edit. See generated vs enhanced for details.
Where can I read the legal basis for this?
PrismPoster aligns to the EU AI Act's transparency rules. See EU AI Act Article 50 and the security page for more. For other questions, email support@prismposter.com.
