How to create music in Music Studio
Music Studio creates AI music. You can supply your own lyrics or let it write them automatically, generate cover art, pull individual stems, extend a track, transform it, apply personas, and convert to WAV. It's available on every plan, including Free. When you keep a music variant, you choose whether to release it: eligible tracks can go out to PrismRadio and the Discover music charts, but broadcast release is opt-in and off by default. Your tracks stay private until you choose to release them.
How do I generate a track?
Describe the music you want and generate it. You can write the lyrics yourself or let Music Studio write them automatically. From there you can shape the result with the tools below rather than starting over each time you want a change.
What can I do with a generated track?
Music Studio gives you several ways to develop a track:
- Lyrics — write your own, or generate them automatically.
- Cover art — produce artwork for the track.
- Stems — pull out individual layers of the mix.
- Extensions — make a track longer.
- Transforms — reshape an existing track.
- Personas — apply a vocal or stylistic persona.
- WAV convert — export the track as a WAV file.
How do I release a track to PrismRadio or Discover?
Releasing is a deliberate choice you make when you keep a music variant. Broadcast release to PrismRadio is opt-in and off by default — you have to turn it on. Eligible tracks can then appear on PrismRadio, the free public listening station for community-released AI music, and on the Discover music charts. Until you opt in, the track stays private to your account. See broadcast opt-in for exactly when and how that choice is made.
How do I export or download a track?
You can convert a track to WAV and download it. Like every export, music files carry the AI label and an embedded machine-readable provenance mark (written into the file's metadata, including ID3 for audio). You download the file and use it yourself — PrismPoster doesn't post it for you. See previews and exports for how exports work across studios.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Music Studio on the Free plan?
Yes. The Free plan includes the Image and Music studios. Music generations draw from your shared credit balance, and signup grants free trial credits.
Will my music be public automatically?
No. Tracks are private by default. Broadcast release to PrismRadio is opt-in and off unless you turn it on when you keep a variant. See public vs private.
Can I get the separate instrument and vocal layers?
Yes. Music Studio can pull stems, which are the individual layers of the mix, and convert tracks to WAV for download.
