Why does the Video Studio say I've hit my limit?

Video generation works on every account, including free ones. If the Video Studio refuses a render or asks you to buy credits, it is one of three things: your balance is too low for the clip you asked for, you picked a Standard size your account can't render yet, or you asked the Premium engine for more than a free account can use. Each case has its own message; this page explains every one and what to do next.

Can I generate video on a free account?

Yes. A free account includes the Video Studio along with Image, Music, and Magic Edit. Where the starter grant is offered, your 200 starter credits are shared across every studio and expire 24 hours after they are granted, so a realistic amount of Standard video on a free account is six 4-second 360p clips at 30 credits each, or two 6-second 720p clips at 96 credits each.

A free account renders Standard video at any size up to 720p, so 360p and 720p are both selectable. The 1080p and 4K sizes stay visible in the picker but are not selectable; any credit pack unlocks them. Free also includes one Premium draft — see below.

Why does it say I've reached my limit?

Two limits can apply to Standard video:

1. Credits. Each clip spends credits. If your balance is too low for the clip you asked for, you'll see an insufficient-credits message. Choose a smaller size or a shorter length, or buy a credit pack.
2. Monthly video count. Each account has a monthly video count. Once it is used, renders continue as long as your balance covers them; you see a limit message only when the count is used and your balance will not cover another clip. Buying a credit pack clears it.

What do the Premium engine messages mean?

Any credit pack opens the whole Premium engine. A free account gets one Premium draft, and these messages mark the edges of that:

• "Your premium draft is used" — your account has already made its one Premium draft (possibly from another tab). Buy any credit pack to keep rendering on Premium, or switch to the Standard engine.
• "Your premium draft has a set length and size" — the draft is a 5-second take at 480p, made from a prompt, a start or end frame, and reference pictures. Keep that length and size and remove any reference clips or tracks. Other lengths and sizes, reference clips and tracks, and continuing a clip open with any credit pack.
• "Mastering your draft needs a credit pack" — mastering your draft at 1080p opens with any credit pack. The master is paid in credits like any render. A refunded pack does not count.
• "This draft can't be mastered" — the draft is still rendering, did not finish, was already mastered, or is more than 7 days old. You were not charged. Open your Library to see where the draft stands.
• "The Premium engine comes with a plan" — you asked Premium for something beyond the free draft, such as changing or growing a clip or a storyboard. Buy any credit pack to open the whole engine, or switch to the Standard engine to keep going.

Why is my spending paused?

If a payment on your account is disputed with your bank, spending is paused while the dispute is open: new renders are refused and the unused credits from the disputed purchase are removed. When the dispute closes and the charge stands, spending resumes. If the bank reverses the charge, spending stays paused until you contact support. See payment or billing problems for what to do.

How do I get more video?

Buy a credit pack. There is no subscription: packs are one-off, from €3.99 for 200 credits, and purchased credits never expire. Any completed pack also opens the whole Premium engine, every Standard size up to 4K, and publishing to your public profile. For prices in your currency, see /pricing.

Why can't I pick 1080p or 4K on a free account?

Yes. Any completed credit pack opens the whole Premium engine, including mastering your draft at 1080p. A refunded pack does not count.
