How credits work in PrismPoster
PrismPoster runs on one shared credit pool. Every studio draws from the same balance, so credits you have can go toward an image, a video, a song, or an edit without separate buckets to manage. Your current balance shows in the sidebar wherever you are in the app. A dedicated Credits page shows your full history. Each generation spends credits when it runs. There is no subscription and no monthly allotment: you add credits by buying one-off credit packs, from €3.99, and purchased credits never expire. New PrismPoster accounts get 200 free starter credits in many countries, with no card. The grant is not offered in Belarus, where the first credit pack is the entry, or in the countries PrismPoster cannot sell to. Unused starter credits expire 24 hours after they are granted.
There is no separate free render. Every clip, picture, song and edit is priced in credits, and the studio shows the price on the button before you press it — so what you see is what a run costs, with nothing hidden and nothing charged after the fact.
Where do I see my credit balance?
Your balance is always in the sidebar. It updates as you generate, so you can watch it move down when a video renders or an image finishes. There is no separate balance per studio — the number in the sidebar is the same pool the Image Studio, Video Studio, Music Studio, and Magic Edit all draw from.
Where is my credit history?
Open the Credits page to see a running history of what you spent and when. This is the place to check after a busy session if you want to understand where credits went. If a generation failed, the history is the quickest way to confirm whether it was charged.
How do generations spend credits?
Credits are deducted when a generation runs. The amount depends on what you make. Images and music cost the least, video costs the most and scales with size and length, and Premium video is billed by the second. For every price, see credit costs by type and /pricing.
Note that produced media consumes real credits as soon as it is generated, even on a free account. There is no separate sandbox — what you make is real output, and it is yours to export.
Do credits reset every month?
No. There is no monthly allotment and nothing resets. Purchased credits never expire.
The 200 starter credits are a one-time grant, offered in many countries but not in Belarus or where PrismPoster cannot sell. It is booked when you sign up, or when you verify your email if it was held for verification. It does not refill each month, and whatever is unspent expires 24 hours after it is granted (accounts created from 21 September 2026; the wallet shows a countdown until then). Purchased credits are never removed by that expiry. Once the starter credits are spent or expired, more credits come from a one-time credit pack.
Is there anything to cancel?
No. There is no subscription, so nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. Your purchased credits stay in your balance until you spend them. See is there a subscription? for the full picture.

Do different studios use different credits?

Are failed generations charged?
Check the Credits page history to confirm. If you see an unexpected deduction for a generation that did not complete, contact support@prismposter.com and include the time it happened.
How do I buy more credits?
Buy a one-time credit pack, from €3.99. The credits land in your balance right away, never expire, and any pack opens every studio and the Premium video engine.
