How do I create a PrismPoster account?
To create a PrismPoster account you pick an @username, enter your email, and set a password — that's all signup asks for. You are not asked for your real or legal name at registration. Signup grants you free trial credits so you can generate right away, and you verify your email to confirm the account. Once verified, you land in the app and can open any studio your plan includes. There is no install — PrismPoster runs in your browser. See browser and requirements.
What information does signup collect?
Three fields, nothing more:
- @username — your public handle on PrismPoster.
- Email — for sign-in and account messages.
- Password — to secure the account.
We deliberately do not collect a real or legal name at signup. This is GDPR data minimization: we ask only for what the account actually needs. A billing name is captured later, at Stripe checkout, if and when you subscribe to a paid plan. Read the reasoning in why we use a username, not your real name. Do I get free credits to start?
Yes. Signing up grants free trial credits, so you can try the Image Studio and Music Studio without paying. There is no separate paid Pro trial — the Free plan is the evaluation path. One thing to keep in mind: generated media consumes real credits as soon as it is produced, so a generation that succeeds spends credits even on the free tier. How do I verify my email?
After signup, check your inbox for a verification message and follow the link inside it. Verifying confirms the address is yours and finishes setting up the account. Are my generations private?
Yes. Everything you create is private by default. Nothing is published or shared without your explicit action, and your data is encrypted at rest and in transit. See keeping generations private.
