How do I create a PrismPoster account?

To create a PrismPoster account you pick an @username, enter your email, and set a password — that's all signup asks for. You are not asked for your real or legal name at registration. You verify your email to confirm the account, and once verified you land in the app and can open any studio your plan includes. There is no install — PrismPoster runs in your browser. What information does signup collect?

Three fields, nothing more:

• @username — your public handle on PrismPoster.
• Email — for sign-in and account messages.
• Password — to secure the account.

We deliberately do not collect a real or legal name at signup. This is GDPR data minimization: we ask only for what the account actually needs. A billing name is captured later, at Stripe checkout, if and when you buy a credit pack. Read the reasoning in why we use a username, not your real name. Do I get free credits to start?

In many countries, yes. New PrismPoster accounts get 200 free starter credits in many countries, with no card. The grant is not offered in Belarus, where the first credit pack is the entry, or in the countries PrismPoster cannot sell to. Unused starter credits expire 24 hours after they are granted. They can be spent once your email is verified, and the grant is one per person. There is no separate paid trial. Generated media consumes real credits as soon as it is produced, so a generation that succeeds spends credits even on the free tier. Your 200 starter credits cover six 4-second 360p clips at 30 credits each, or two 6-second 720p clips at 96 each, alongside your images and music, and you can try the Premium video engine once with a 5-second draft.

An account that has never paid renders Standard video at 360p or 720p; 1080p, 4K, and the whole Premium engine open with any one-off credit pack. There is no subscription, and purchased credits never expire. See free vs paid account.

How do I verify my email?

After signup, check your inbox for a verification message and follow the link inside it. Verifying confirms the address is yours and finishes setting up the account. Are my generations private?

Yes. Everything you create is private by default. Nothing is published or shared without your explicit action, and your data is encrypted at rest and in transit. See keeping generations private.
